Reminders: NO PRACTICE Friday, March 13th & March 16th
Please volunteer to help on one of the two show dates to give every parent a chance to see their skater(s) perform! There are numerous roles and jobs to help keep the show running smoothly! We do not currently have a Sign-Up Genius, however, here is what we have so far for volunteers and the roles we are looking to fill to make ensure the shows run smoothly:
Shows & Dress Rehearsal at Expo Center for both shows:
· Greeters Free Will Donations (2) per show – Christine Fischer
· Silent auction, meat sticks & flowers (2) per show – Sara Valle (one-dollar bills money bags)
o Dawn: Flower Sales (Sunday) & Kathy
· Concessions stands (2) per show – Melissa Flor & Kathleen
· Locker room & costumes (2) per show – Lynne McVey & Peggy O’Bryan
· Setup decorating (8-10 people)
o Coach Sam (Dress Rehearsal same time as parents are decorating)
· Clean-up & haul back to PAYSA (8-10 people)
· Music & Emcee personnel works with Coach Sam – Stefanie Garland & Keith Schumacher
· Zamboni Operators: Dan Garland, Kirk Van Roekel-OHA Expo Center Zamboni operator & Dan Scott
We will need ALL hands-on deck Sunday, March 15th after the show to help clean up!
(Sweeping, mopping, cleaning restrooms, vacuuming board room, putting tables and chairs away, hauling everything back to PAYSA building, etc.)
Every show, CSDSC holds a silent auction to help raise money for our club. We have had some businesses donate items to the club and would greatly appreciate any donations if you would like to participate. You can do this by approaching businesses with your skater and asking for a donation to be auctioned off, of you can bring items to donate as well.
(This is your chance to get rid of those unopened holiday gifts that you were never going to use =))
Ideas for silent auction items: Baskets of any kid: movie night basket, cooking basket, cosmetic/nail polish/makeup basket, individual items lotion basket, etc. Bags, gift cards, etc.
*The club will be selling Flowers & Meat sticks, and there will be concessions at both shows*
The bulk fruit order will be delivered in the morning on Friday, March 13th at Rilling Produce.
(Rilling Produce - 224 S Adams Ave, along Wells Ave across from Diamonds Nails & Spa at the S curve)
Keith will send a bulk email to all on what time to pick up your fruit orders!
Everything has to get sorted, and our goal is to have orders ready for our skate sellers to pick up by late afternoon.
*IMPORTANT- Parents--Please try to deliver the same day to keep our customers happy with fresh fruit! With such a busy weekend, we might forget about them and end up with a lot of disappointed supporters if they don’t make it to the correct bellies in time. We want to leave a good taste in their mouths about the club as well as from the fruits for potential future sales!
Suggestion: Print off the Show Flyer and have your skater write a special note on the back to promote and invite people when you are delivering your fruits!
